The art and design department is featuring its Foundations program in an exhibition Jan. 22 – Feb. 9 with a public reception scheduled on February’s First Friday Art Walk, Feb. 1, 6-10 p.m.
The Foundations Exhibition is one of the most interesting exhibits held at SEC. Beginning level classes show projects that have been assigned to demonstrate the students understanding of various artistic concepts. The courses featured are Art 100 Two-Dimensional Design; Art 101 Three-Dimensional Design; Art 115 Drawing I, and Art 215 Drawing II. Completion of these classes is required to gain acceptance in the department’s degree programs. These classes are also required for various other programs throughout the University.
