February 6, 2018 will be the annual “Shaking Hands” event at the State Capitol Building in Jefferson City. This event is where geologists, who have or plan to introduce legislation related to geoscience, will meet with some lawmakers individually. Or they will present resource information about the important role of geology, geotechnical and environmental engineering in public safety, transportation, our environment, student education, tourism and/or the responsible development of mineral resources. Exhibits and available literature will be located in the Rotunda. For more information, please contact Phyllis Steckel, RG (psteckel@charter.net).
