Dr. Kyler James Sherman-Wilkins, Assistant Professor of Sociology and Faculty Affiliate in the Gerontology Program, has been selected to serve a 3-year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Missouri Foundation of Health. In this role, Dr. Sherman-Wilkins will advocate for a greater focus on addressing issues surrounding age-related cognitive impairment, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and LGBTQ+ health disparities. As outlined on their website, the Missouri Foundation for Health is “a resource for the region, working with communities and nonprofits to generate and accelerate positive changes in health. As a catalyst for change, the Foundation improves the health of Missourians through partnership, experience, knowledge, and funding.”
