Over the last three years, Dr. Tona Hetzler, Department Head and Program Director has tirelessly worked to pull resources from human development, movement assessment, anatomy, neurology, orthopedics, corrective exercise, and manual therapies to create the Masters in Athletic Training Program at Missouri State University. She explains, “One of our last areas of need was how to restore strength.”
StrongFirst training principles provide that missing link. Mark Toomey, StrongFirst’s CEO states “StrongFirst has pioneered a methodology that is simple, safe, yet challenging for both the highly trained athlete and the weekend warrior. We are proud to join with other visionary organizations like FMS in providing support to Missouri State.”
Tona explains that the reasoning behind her perusing an affiliation with StrongFirst was simple. “We wanted something better than thera-bands and the traditional approach. StrongFirsts’ comprehensive system of strength will help to propel our MSAT graduates out in front of their peers.”
