Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2015 Bears High School Athletic Training camp this year!
22 high school students came to the campus of Missouri State University last week to learn more about the profession of athletic training. Along with a great deal of learning, students were able to put their skills into action, participate in a number of fun activities, and make long-lasting friendships. AT program undergraduate and graduate students along with faculty worked together to provide interesting AT-related sessions for the students and to lead them through an exciting week on campus.
AT camp concluded on Saturday with the AT Olympics which was held on the new Field Hockey/Lacrosse field on campus. In front of their parents and family, students were able to show-off skills that they had learned through an exciting competition. The high school students were so enthused about the camp and their experience, they asked the staff if they could come back next summer for AT camp 2.0! This is the sixth year the AT department at MSU has held the camp and will now discuss the option of next summer hosting both a level 1 and a level 2 camp due to the expanding popularity of the experience.
THANK YOU all students and camp staff for a week of memorable experiences at AT camp!
