The Sports Medicine and Athletic Training department at Missouri State University is proud to welcome 13 Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) students from across the country. Students in the MSAT program are BOC certified athletic trainers or eligible to sit for the BOC exam. This post-professional master’s degree is focused on the areas of leadership and rehabilitation.
Over the course of the next two years, these students will become experts in these areas through a challenging curriculum and hands-on application of skills. They will use what they learn, combined with their own professional interests, to design and conduct a research study that they will share with the professional athletic training world either through a manuscript submitted to a peer-reviewed source or a thesis.
We are excited to have this group on campus and look forward to working with them during this phase of their professional preparation.
Classes began this week for the incoming MSAT students and the fall term includes:
ATC 610: Leadership Theory and Issues in Athletic Training
ATC 612: Human Movement
ATC 640: Evidence-Based Practice
ATC 732: Applied Research Methods in Health Care
Please join us in welcoming these graduate students!
