Water Spineboarding in ATC 340

October 19, 2017 by Kristin Paloncy

As part of ATC 340 Clinical Practicum III, third year athletic training students in the BSAT program practiced spine boarding a patient in the water and then transferring to the pool deck for treatment. The ATC 340 class focuses on reviewing emergency care skills for athletic trainers that are high risk but low incident. This means that they rarely happen in most athletic training settings but when they do, they are high risk in that they involve the death or permanent disability of a patient.

Nice work third year BSAT students!!
