The Division of Student Affairs is extremely proud to spotlight one of our very own as being published in the New Directions for Student Services series. Dr. Thomas Lane, Assistant Vice President for Student Life, worked collaboratively with another professional colleague within the field of Student Affairs to discuss and write an article entitled “Student Engagement and College Unions”. This particular chapter within the New Directions for Student Services text dives into the what the role of college unions is playing in helping students to develop and maintain meaningful engagement opportunities to enhance the student experience at a college or university.
On April 24, 2014, Dr. Lane was also recognized by the Hawthorne Chapter of the Missouri Division of IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) as the 2014 Executive of the Year. Recognized for this outstanding leadership and support of administrative professionals, Dr. Lane was honored with this prestigious award.
