Our very own Dr. Robert Hornberger has recently been named President for the Missouri Association for Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO). Prior to becoming President, Dr. Hornberger served as both Vice President for Web Services from October 2010 to October 2013 and President-Elect from October 2013 to October 2014. As VP for Web Services Dr. Hornberger developed a new administrative web application for individual membership tracking (e.g. status, contact information, awards received, office held), event management, and institutional membership administration. He also created a system that allowed members to submit proposals for conference sessions, which helped increase the number of quality presentations. As President-Elect, Dr. Hornberger coordinated MACRAO activities at the national AACRAO conference and maintained and developed relationships with various corporate sponsors.
Dr. Hornberger became President on October 28, 2014 and will serve in this position for one year. In this role, his responsibilities include responsibility for all general activities of the association, serving as chairperson of the executive committee, appointing committee members, attending the AACRAO national conference, attending AACRAO national and regional leadership meeting in Washington, D.C., overseeing the budget, serving as liaison to the national association, and overseeing the organization’s audit committee.
Congratulations, Dr. Hornberger!
