“And the winner is!”
In early April, the Office of Student Employment at Missouri State University promoted and partook in National Student Employment Week. This week recognizes student employees throughout the university for all their hard work and dedication. In 2014, over 2,800 student employees worked for Missouri State and contributed over 700,000 hours to the university. As noted, the university receives many benefits from employing student workers! Offices and departments were encouraged to plan socials and events to honor and thank their student employees. One favorite event occurring during National Student Employment Month continues to be the Office Decorating Contest. This friendly competition encouraged various offices around campus to decorate their office space to highlight their student employees. This year, the Office of Student Affairs utilized a unique superhero theme to promote the hard work of their students. As a result of their win, the office will display a trophy until next year. Congratulations to the Office of Student Affairs and a big thank-you to all Missouri State University student-employees!
