During the Fall 2015 semester, an Extension Exploratory Committee made up of collegians and alumnae from the Missouri State Panhellenic community researched the current state of the Panhellenic community and determined that Missouri State University could support an additional sorority chapter. The Panhellenic Association opened for applications, and an Extension Committee reviewed applications from National Panhellenic Conference chapters not currently represented at Missouri State University. The Extension Committee is made up of collegiate women, representatives from IFC and NPHC, alumnae, and chapter advisors. The Panhellenic Association has invited three NPC organizations to give campus presentations: Alpha Sigma Tau, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Alpha Gamma Delta. Following the final presentation, the Extension Committee will meet and choose an organization to recommend that the Panhellenic Association invite to colonize. On March 2nd, the Panhellenic Association will vote on that recommendation and extend an invitation to one of the three groups that presented. The group that is chosen will begin recruiting during the Fall 2016 semester and will be installed as an active chapter before the Spring 2017 semester.
