Mission of the Garden:
The mission of the campus garden will be to serve as an all-natural educational resource for the university; provide fresh, nutritional produce to fellow students and members of the campus and Springfield communities, and serve as an environmentally and socially sustainable resource for service learning and community service on campus.
Facts:
- It was started in 2011 with administrative support and is student operated and maintained.
- Volunteers from across the campus give their talents and time to help in the Garden. Volunteering at the garden can count toward community service requirements and other service learning needs for clubs, organizations, and some classes.
