1. RESPOND Training – The MSU Counseling Center and Dean of Students Office is pleased to announce a free opportunity for staff and faculty to learn how to better recognize, support and refer someone who needs assistance with mental health concerns. Want to learn more about how to effectively RESPOND to a student, staff or faculty member in need of help? Respond training will take place on December 15th. 3. Commencement – The Fall 2020 Commencement is Friday, December 11th. If you are interested in volunteering at Commencement, please reach out to Terry Weber at 417-836-5886.

5. Support the Jason Rhea Memorial – There is still time to donate to the memorial for Jason Rhea. His memorial will be incorporated into the area of the new outdoor Performing Arts Pavilion. 51-year-old Jason Rhea, Missouri State’s assistant director of facilities management for grounds, died Thursday, Oct. 22 from COVID-19. Jason began working at Missouri State on Aug. 16, 1999, as a groundskeeper, before becoming a grounds foreman in 2007, grounds supervisor in 2012 and assistant director of facilities management for grounds this year.
