Take a moment to see what’s going on in Student Affairs this week!
1. Welcome Back to our Students! We are excited to have everyone back on campus for the fall semester. As a reminder, masks required in all campus buildings. Find out more here: https://www.missouristate.edu/Coronavirus/?rel=20210819T1711
2. Our annual All-Staff Meeting is Wednesday, August 25th. Refreshments will be available at between 7:30-8am and the meeting will start at 8am.
- This meeting will highlight the DOSA Awards and our outstanding winners.
- We will take pictures of the DOSA Award winners.
- You will receive a name tag with your table number. To alleviate confusion please sit at the table you are given. (This is a great way to meet other team members within Student Affairs.)
- Immediately following the meeting, Student Affairs staff members will be asked to congregate at the Corner Stone in the Quad (front of Carrington) for our divisional picture. If it is raining we will congregate in the PSU Theater. Please consider wearing BearWear.
- I enjoy seeing all team members at the All–Staff Meetings so I hope you will make every effort to attend. However, if you are not able to attend this meeting in person, please contact Peggy Jones (PeggyJones@MissouriState.edu ) for zoom information.
3. Multicultural Networking Event – Join Multicultural Services for its annual networking event on August 26th, 5:30-7:30pm at the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center.
4. Back-to-School Luncheon – Join us for our annual Back-to-School Luncheon on August 31st, 11am – 1pm in Ballroom East. More details coming soon.
5. Residence Life House Calls – House Calls 2021 will take place Wednesday, September 1, 2021. The House Calls program is designed to reach out to residence hall students and give them an opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, and administrators on a more personal level. By visiting individual rooms in the residence halls, volunteers can welcome students, help determine if they need any assistance, and answer any questions they might have. To volunteer for House Calls, visit https://reslife.missouristate.edu/housecalls.htm.
Bonus: Encourage students you work with to apply for the Student Affairs Advisory Board. The Division of Student Affairs Student Advisory Board exists to provide open dialogue and discussion between Missouri State University students and the Vice President for Student Affairs.
