Five Things – This Week in Student Affairs – December 6th

Take a moment to see what’s happening this week in the Division of Student Affairs.

1. Donuts for DOSA – Join us for our annual Donuts for DOSA, December 7th, 8:30-10am, PSU Ballroom East. Enjoy some delicious food provided by Missouri State Catering and enjoy visiting with your friends and co-workers.

2. Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Student Conduct Position – There will be an upcoming open forum on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in PSU 312 for Kristi Patrickus.  The candidate has been asked to prepare a 20-minute presentation on the topic of Lessons Learned from the Pandemic and Implications for Future Student Conduct Practices followed by questions from attendees.  Electronic feedback form information will be provided at the forum.  Please plan to attend if your schedule allows.

3. Join the Bookstore in Celebrating John Shepherd – Join us on Friday December 10th between 1-3pm as we wish John Shepherd our best wishes as he retires from his position at Missouri State.  John has been the Convenience Store Supervisor for the Bookstore for the past 11 years, and has decided to move on to the next chapter in his life.  The event will be held in PSU – Ballroom East.  Hope you can stop by and wish John well.

4. We are excited to welcome the following staff to the Division of Student Affairs:

5. President’s Holiday Open House – Join President Smart for his annual Holiday Open House on Monday, December 6th, 2-4pm, Plaster Student Union Ballroom.

6. Celebrate 12 Day of Gifting with the Bookstore – 12 Days. 12 Sales. This is the Bookstore’s gift to you! Get your holiday shopping done at the Bookstore.

Bonus: Bear a Friend – Send a Sleuth (a group of bears) to a co-worker, friend, professor here at Missouri State. You can send a bunch of bears for a one-time suggested donation of $5.00. The collected funds will go to the Student Emergency Fund.  How does it work? Complete the form below and under the cover of darkness (or whenever their office is empty), your friends space will come alive with bears! The bears will be collected from the office two days after the bearing has taken place. Make a friend/co-worker feel special and have some fun!
