President’s Late Night Breakfast – The President’s Late Night Breakfast is back! Encourage your students to attend the breakfast tonight, 9pm-11pm in Blair-Shannon Dining Hall. There will be great food and giveaways. It’s a perfect study break!
Fall Commencement 2021 – Fall Commencement will take place Friday, December 17th at JQH Arena. The first ceremony will take place at 10am and the second ceremony will take place at 1:30pm. To find out more, visit https://www.missouristate.edu/Commencement/fall-2021-commencement.htm
Board of Governors Meeting – The Missouri State University Board of Governors will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, December 16th, 1pm-5pm, Plaster Student Union 313. See the agenda here.
Board of Governors Committee Meetings – The Missouri State University Board of Governors will hold committee meetings on Thursday, December 16th. The meetings and times are:
- 8:30 a.m. Risk Management and Audit Committee Meeting
- 9:00 a.m. Finance and Facilities Committee Meeting
- 10:15 a.m. Programs and Planning Committee Meeting

A Conversation with Dee – The Division of Student Affairs is an inclusive unit of many different personalities and ideas. From seasoned professionals to those new to the field, conversations and the sharing of these ideas is an excellent way for the division to remain champions for student success. Join a Student Affairs Committee – Within the Division of Student Affairs, there are various opportunities for staff to get involved, and one of these are our committees and teams. These committees and teams offer you an opportunity to help strengthen collaboration and cooperation amongst the departments in the division. Staff is encouraged to participate in one or more of these committees.
The committees are:
1. Planning and Assessment Team
2. Student Affairs Staff Development Committee
3. Networking Team
4. Inclusion Awareness Team

Staff Awards Luncheon – Make plans to attend the Staff Awards Luncheon on January 6th, 11:30am-1:30pm, Hammons Student Center. All full-time staff members are invited to attend the Staff Awards Luncheon. The Service Awards program honors three categories of staff employees: those who have reached a five-year longevity milestone in their years of service to the university, those who have been selected for the Staff Excellence in University Service Award and those who have been selected for the Staff Excellence in Community Service Award. Special round trip express shuttles marked “Staff Appreciation Lunch” will operate from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. running from Carrington Hall to Hammons Student Center with a stop at Glass Hall; and from the Park Central Office Building to Hammons Student Center with a stop at the Morris Center.
