2. Make Plans to Attend the Collaborative Diversity Conference – The Collaborative Diversity Conferences (CDC) have always aimed to connect citizens and foster community by establishing a stronger link between community partners throughout the Ozarks region and beyond. As such, it is with esteemed pleasure that the Division for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Missouri State University announce this year’s theme for 2023, annual “Connecting Citizens & Fostering Community.” The date of the 2023 Conference is April 27-28th. 3. Back by popular demand! Lunch and Learn – Check your calendar and see if you are available for the Lunch and Learn featuring Jeff Mitchell on April 11th, 12pm-1pm. RSVP no later than 4:00 p.m. April 5th to Peggy Jones at peggyjones@missouristate.edu. Bring your lunch and the Division will provide drinks and cookies.

4. Professional Development Opportunity – “Just Assessment” – The next professional development session will focus on Assessment. Please RSVP by noon, March 27th to Peggy Jones at peggyjones@missouristate.edu.

5. Carved and Crafted Catering Open House – Save-the-Date for the Missouri State Catering Carved and Crafted Open House on April 4th in the Plaster Student Union. Come and taste the new items in the updated catering guide for the Spring collection. Invitations with an RSVP will be sent out at a later date. Find out more here.
6. Admissions Spring Showcase – The Admissions Spring Showcase for prospective students and their families is scheduled for Saturday, April 1st. Students and family members will learn about scholarship and financial aid, meet faculty who represent 170 majors academic majors and programs, tour the campus and more. See the schedule here. BONUS: Bear a Friend – Send a Sleuth (a group of bears) to a co-worker, friend, or professor here at Missouri State. You can send a bunch of bears for a one-time suggested donation of $5.00. The collected funds will go to the Student Emergency Fund. How does it work? Complete the form here and under the cover of darkness (or whenever their office is empty), your friends space will come alive with bears!
The bears will be collected from the office two days after the bearing has taken place. Make a friend/co-worker feel special and have some fun! They’ll receive a note saying “You’ve been BEARed” along with your message!
