1. Open Enrollment Period – Open enrollment is the annual period during which you can elect/decline/or make changes to your medical, dental, vision, and cafeteria/flexible spending plans for the upcoming calendar year. Cafeteria plan/Flexible spending plan elections must be elected annually. Additionally, voluntary benefit carriers may provide guarantee issue during this period as well (determined yearly by the carrier). Open enrollment for the 2024 benefits plan year will run from Nov. 1, 2023 through Dec. 1, 2023. missouristate.edu/Human/open-enrollment.htm

2. Inclusion Awareness Spotlight: SAC & the MRC host Native American Indigenous People’s Month Speaker Gregg Deal, Tuesday, November 14th, from 7-8pm in the PSU Theater. Gregg has given a TedTalk about honoring the Indigenous Experience. He provides insight into depicting historically accurate representations of indigenous people through art. There will be free food for all and a prize drawing for students.
3. Donuts for DOSA – Join us for Donuts for DOSA on December 8th, 8-9:30am, PSU 308! Enjoy some delicious donuts and hot chocolate provided by Chartwells and visit with friends and co-workers, celebrating the holiday season!
4. Holiday Happenings – The Missouri State University Ambassadors and the Office of Admissions cordially invite you to attend Holiday Happenings! The children and grandchildren of Missouri State Faculty and Staff members will have the opportunity to decorate cookies, have their pictures taken with Santa, create holiday crafts, play games, and engage in other seasonal activities.

6. Annual Union Club Holiday Luncheon – Please make plans to join Chartwells for their Annual Union Club Holiday Lunch on Thursday, November 30th, 11am-1pm, in the PSU Grand Ballroom. The cost is $12 per person. See the menu here.
7. Flu Shots and COVID Boosters – Magers Health and Wellness Center is offering flu shots and COVID Boosters now. Please schedule an appointment through MyHealth Portal. When scheduling a vaccines please choose the option in the reservation time designated for the specific vaccine. Please check in at the front desk or the vaccination check in table before receiving your vaccination. There is no cost for students. Those on MSU’s insurance will not have any out of pocket expenses. Retirees on Medicare will need to check if Magers Health and Wellness Center is in network. Other individuals may incur a charge. Contact Magers Health at 417-836-4000 with questions.
8. MSU Foundation Scholarships – The MSU Foundation Scholarship application is open. Encourage your students to complete the application. It takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. More information can be found here.
