1. Open Enrollment Period – Open enrollment is the annual period during which you can elect/decline/or make changes to your medical, dental, vision, and cafeteria/flexible spending plans for the upcoming calendar year. Cafeteria plan/Flexible spending plan elections must be elected annually. Additionally, voluntary benefit carriers may provide guarantee issue during this period as well (determined yearly by the carrier). Open enrollment for the 2024 benefits plan year will run from Nov. 1, 2023 through Dec. 1, 2023. missouristate.edu/Human/open-enrollment.htm

2. Donuts for DOSA – Join us for Donuts for DOSA on December 8th, 8-9:30am, PSU 308! Enjoy some delicious donuts and hot chocolate provided by Chartwells and visit with friends and co-workers, celebrating the holiday season!
3. Holiday Happenings – The Missouri State University Ambassadors and the Office of Admissions cordially invite you to attend Holiday Happenings! The children and grandchildren of Missouri State Faculty and Staff members will have the opportunity to decorate cookies, have their pictures taken with Santa, create holiday crafts, play games, and engage in other seasonal activities.

4. Annual Union Club Holiday Luncheon – Please make plans to join Chartwells for their Annual Union Club Holiday Lunch on Thursday, November 30th, 11am-1pm, in the PSU Grand Ballroom. The cost is $12 per person. See the menu here.
5. Lunch and Learn Series – This is a reminder that we have the following upcoming events in our Lunch and Learn Series. Seating is limited so please let Peggy Jones (peggyjones@missouristate.edu) know if you would like to attend the December 5th session by noon, November 27th.

6. Inclusion Awareness Spotlight – Stamped From the Beginning, a documentary based off Dr. Ibram X. Kendi’s book, premiers on Netflix on Monday, November 20th. “In 2016, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi (How to Be an Antiracist) published Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America, a New York Times bestseller and National Book Award winner that chronicles the origins and evolution of anti-Black, racist ideas and their power in shaping policies, culture, and norms throughout American history.
