1. April Lunch and Learn – Join us for our next Lunch and Learn on April 17th, 12-1pm, PSU 317. The topic is Cultural Mindfulness presented by Dr. Rabekah Stewart, Assistant Vice President-Student Affairs. RSVP to PeggyJones@missouristate.edu.
2. Missouri State is extending its financial aid deadline to May 1. Missouri State University is extending the financial aid priority deadline from April 1 to May 1. This gives students more time to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form, which determines their eligibility for financial aid and university-funded scholarships. 3. Solar Eclipse Viewing – On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States and Canada. In Springfield, there will be 97% totality at 1:54 p.m. Come and join in and enjoy snacks, games and eclipse viewing from 1-2:30pm at Plaster Stadium. 4. Fountain Day 2024 – It’s that time of the year again…time to turn the Fountain in front of Meyer Library back on! Encourage your students to join Traditions Council on Wednesday, April 10th from 11am-2pm for this fun event! Learn more here!
5. Spring Family Day at Hammons Field – Spring Family Day at Hammons Field is Saturday, April 13th. Gates open at 10am. The game starts at 11am. You can purchase tickets at the Ticket Window at Hammons Field or at Great Southern Bank Arena. We hope to see you there!
6. Greek Week 2024 – Greek Week will be April 8th-13th, and is hosted by Fraternity & Sorority Life. Greek Week showcases the work done by the FSL community. One feature of Greek Week is the donation drive for the Bear Pantry. Some of the events include Greek God and Goddess competition and Greek Jam. Learn more here.
7. Campus-Wide Memorial Service – Please join us on Thursday, April 25th as we honor students/staff/faculty we have lost in the past year. The Service will take place in the Crystal Room at Kentwood Hall, and starts at 4pm. Learn more here.
8. Forums for Mental Health Clinician Positions – Join the Counseling Center as they bring candidates to campus to interview for the position of Mental Health Clinician. The candidates will give a presentation regarding college students and mental health, and you are invited to attend.
