Take a moment to see what’s happening this week in the Division of Student Affairs.
Congratulations to everyone on a terrific semester in the Division of Student Affairs! Everyone worked hard to provide our students wonderful experiences that helped them be successful both in the classroom and outside. Your hard work is very much appreciated! Thank you so very much!
1. Camp Claw Registration – Camp Claw, hosted by Foster Rec, is a summer youth camp that provides activities such as climbing on the rock wall, swimming in the pool, and playing various team and solo games. We utilize the entire Foster Recreation Center for this experience, as well as the recreation turf fields. Lunch is provided each day by a sponsor, or we take the group to the dining hall on campus. Amazing memories and friendships are free. Camp Claw has seven weeks and the Rec welcomes your campers to attend as many as possible:
- Week 1 – June 10th to June 14th
- Week 2 – June 17th to June 21st
- Week 3 – June 24th to June 28th
- Week 4 – July 8th to July 12th
- Week 5 – July 15th to July 19th
- Week 6 – July 22nd to July 26th
- Week 7 – July 29th to August 2nd
Camp runs from 8:00am to 5:00pm with before care (starting at 7:30am) and after care (until 5:30pm) available for $25 or $50 for both. Register your student here.
2. Sign up for Bear Crew and House Calls – It’s never to early to volunteer to take part in Bear Crew and House Calls. Become a member of the Bear Crew and welcome incoming students and their families to campus by helping them move into their residence hall rooms. We are looking for volunteers from our current student body, faculty, and staff to help with Missouri State move-in on August 15-17, 2024.
House Calls 2024 will take place Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The House Calls program is designed to reach out to residence hall students and give them an opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, and administrators on a more personal level. By visiting individual rooms in the residence halls, volunteers can welcome students, help determine if they need any assistance, and answer any questions they might have.
