1. Division of Student Affairs All-Staff Meeting – The Division of Student Affairs All-Staff Meeting should already be on your calendar for Friday, September 20th from 9-11 am in the PSU Theater. This program will include meeting with our new President, Dr. Richard “Biff’ Willliams, hosting the DOSA Awards Ceremony, and committee meetings. Questions? Reach out to peggyjones@missouristate.edu.
2. Citizen Scholar Award – The Citizen Scholar Award is the highest award available to Missouri State University students. Since the award’s inception in 2007, 101 exceptional students have been recognized for their stellar achievements with academics, community engagement and leadership. The Board of Governors is soliciting nominations for the 2024-2025 Citizen Scholar Award. This is the highest award available to Missouri State University students. We request your nominations for the recognition of six more outstanding Citizen Scholars. The nomination deadline is Friday, September 6th. 3. Budget Planning Trainings – Additional budget trainings structured to dive deeper into budgetary planning and responsibilities are coming up. The times are 10:00-11:00 a.m. in PSU 317:

4. 2024 Title IX update – Make plans to attend the Lunch & Learn featuring the 2024 Title IX Update on Wednesday, September 4ht in PSU 317 from 12pm-1pm. Don’t miss the information that will be shared about this very important topic. Reach out to studentaffairs@missouristate.edu with questions.
5. Residence Life House Calls – House calls takes place this week, Wednesday, August 28th. The House Calls program is designed to reach out to residence hall students and give them an opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, and administrators on a more personal level. By visiting individual rooms in the residence halls, volunteers can welcome students, help determine if they need any assistance, and answer any questions they might have. Students, faculty and staff all love this program. Find out more about House Calls here.
6. UNUM Emergency Assistance Program – An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free, confidential service to help you and your immediate family members with a wide range of problems. It’s available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. One service is UNUM EAP. UNUM can help you and your immediate family members address life’s many challenges. UNUM offers counseling for work-life issues, assistance with finding child or senior care, help with legal or financial matters and more. You can find more information on the EAP website.
7. Division of Student Affairs On-boarding – We’re excited to share the inner workings of the Division of Student Affairs with staff new to our area on September 11th, 3-4:30pm in PSU Ballroom East. Join Dr. Siscoe and others in the Division as they share important information about the important work that we do in Student Affairs. Stay tuned for the invitation in your email this week. 8. Student Affairs Advisory Board – Share with your Students – The Division of Student Affairs Student Advisory Board exists to provide open dialogue and discussion between Missouri State University students and Dr. Siscoe. This student board, open to both graduate and undergraduate students, has been charged with providing deliberate input to the Vice President regarding out-of-classroom experiences and student life. The application is now open for the 2024-2025 advisory board. The application can be found on the Student Affairs website.
9. Required Employee Training – Preparing for Emergencies – Missouri State University is rolling out an important training initiative aimed at enhancing campus safety and preparedness. All faculty and staff members are being assigned a course within My Learning Connection titled “Preparing for Emergencies.” This comprehensive, three-part course is designed to equip employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to various emergency situations that may arise on campus.
