1. Fall 2024 Commencement – Fall 2024 Commencement will take place at Great Southern Bank Arena on Friday, December 13th. There will be two ceremonies.
The first one will start at 10am and feature:
- McQueary College of Health and Human Services
- Reynolds College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
- College of Education
The second one will start at 1:30am and feature:
- Darr College of Agriculture
- College of Business
- College of Natural and Applied Sciences
- Interdisciplinary Academic Programs

2. President’s Holiday Open House – Join the President for a festive Open House on Monday, December 9th. Celebrate the season with delicious treats and holiday cheer! Feel free to drop in any time between 3-5 p.m in the Plaster Student Union Ballroom.
3. Board of Governors Meetings – The Missouri State University Board of Governors will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, December 12th, 1-5pm in PSU 313. The 2024-2025 Citizen Scholars will be recognized by the Board of Governors at this meeting starting at 1pm. The Citizen Scholar Award is the highest award available to Missouri State University students. Since the award’s inception in 2007, 101 exceptional students have been recognized for their stellar achievements with academics, community engagement and leadership.

4. Magers Health and Wellness Holiday Break Hours – The following services at Magers Health and Wellness will be available over the holiday break. Immediate Care Clinic, Lab, X-Ray and Pharmacy operations will be open on Friday, December 27th and Monday, December 30th from 8am-5pm. They will close at 12:00 for lunch both days. Make a plan to visit Magers pharmacy to receive your prescriptions before the holiday break.
5. Department Spotlight – Office of Student Engagement – At Missouri State University, the Office of Student Engagement (OSE) provides students with opportunities to connect, grow, and thrive through impactful programming and partnerships. 6. Staff Awards Luncheon – Make plans to attend the Staff Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, January 8th, 11am-1pm in Hammons Student Center. Join the university as we kick off the year by recognizing the outstanding dedication and service of our team members! This special event will honor staff milestones.
7. Grow Coaching Model Survey – As part of our ongoing efforts to improve and support professional growth, we’re conducting a short survey about the Grow Coaching Model. Your input is important to us, and Dr. .Siscoe appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey using the link below. The deadline is December 13th:
