1. Board of Governors Meeting – The Missouri State University Board of Governors will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, May 8th, 1-5pm in PSU 413. Meeting agendas can be found here:

2. Commencement 2025 – Spring Commencement 2025 will take place on Friday, May 9th at the Great Southern Bank Arena. The ceremonies are at 9am, 1pm and 5pm. To find out more details, visit the Commencement website.
3. President’s Breakfast – Encourage the students you work with to attend the President’s Breakfast tonight, May 5th, 9pm-11pm at Blair-Shannon Dining Hall! Dining Services will have a donut wall where students can choose a pre-iced donut to decorate or they can start from scratch! There will also be free sodas and snacks for everyone! If they are one of the first 100 people in line, they will get a snack bag loaded with a mix of sweet and savory goods!!
4. This Week’s Bookstore’s Events – The Bookstore has some fun things going on this week. Check them out.

5. Sign up for Bear Crew and House Calls – It’s never to early too volunteer to take part in Bear Crew and House Calls. Become a member of the Bear Crew and welcome incoming students and their families to campus by helping them move into their residence hall rooms. We are looking for volunteers from our current student body, faculty, and staff to help with Missouri State move-in on August 14-16, 2025.
House Calls 2025 will take place Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5:15pm to approximately 8pm. The House Calls program is designed to reach out to residence hall students and give them an opportunity to interact with faculty, staff, and administrators on a more personal level. By visiting individual rooms in the residence halls, volunteers can welcome students, help determine if they need any assistance, and answer any questions they might have.

6. Grad Bash 2025 – Registration for Grad Bash 2025 is now open. If you know any graduating seniors who would be interested in this free, annual event, please have them register. This year, due to construction at Plaster Stadium, Grad Bash will be held on Thursday, May 8th, from 2 PM – 4 PM, at the Allison Stadium North (Lacrosse Field). Students will be warmly welcomed to the MSU Alumni Association, where they can enjoy free food, drinks, inflatables, and more! Students can register here: HERE. Download the flyer.
7. Springfield Juneteenth Weekend Festival – The Community Partnership of the Ozarks, in collaboration with the NAACP of Springfield, is offering a city-wide Juneteenth weekend festival! As Springfield continues to strive towards equity and inclusion for the BIPOC community, it is only fitting that we celebrate this important holiday to the best of our ability.
