22nd Annual MSU Public Affairs Conference –Plan now to attend the 22nd Annual Public Affairs Conference September 16-18, 2025. This year’s theme is “Resilient People, Resilient Future”. Explore the theme through virtual panel sessions, in-person plenary speakers and the kick-off keynote featuring David Feherty. All events are free and open to the public. Inspire the Roar 5K – Join us for the Inspire the Roar 5K on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 8:00 AM, starting and finishing at the Foster Recreation Center! This Family Weekend tradition welcomes all fitness levels for a fun run/walk through the scenic Missouri State University campus. Enjoy music, snacks, a recovery zone, and the chance to win awards—plus a commemorative T-shirt (while supplies last)! Strollers and leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome, and MSU spirit gear is encouraged. Come celebrate Bear pride, wellness, and community in this family-friendly event. Click here to learn more.
State of the University: Introducing the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan – President Williams will deliver the State of the University address and introduce the 2025-2030 strategic plan, “Igniting Opportunity.” The event will be held on Monday, September 22nd, 12-1:30pm in the Plaster Student Union. Family Weekend 2025 – Family Weekend is a great time on the Missouri State Campus. We enjoy seeing so many family members taking part in all the fun activities, and enjoying time with their students! Family Weekend 2025 will take place September 19th-21st! Families will start arriving on Friday, September 19th. If you see family members, and their students, say hello and welcome them to our lovely campus. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) – View the September 2025 online resources provided by Mercy. One of the resources is a discussion of Mental Health. What is it? What are Mental Disorders? Your mental health is also important because it can affect your physical health. For example, mental disorders can raise your risk for physical health problems such as stroke, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease. Join a DOSA Committee – The Division of Student Affairs has several ways for you to get involved, and one of those is joining one of our committees or teams. The Division supports the idea of shared governance through its philosophy and support of various leadership teams. Staff are encouraged to actively participate in one or more of these smaller work groups in order to help strengthen collaboration and cooperation. Reach out to the contacts listed and ask questions. We would love to you join a committee.
