1. Sign up to be a Giving Day Ambassador – Giving Day, March 24-March 25th, is almost here. For 36 hours, Bears everywhere will come together to support the people, programs and experiences that make Missouri State extraordinary.
You can get involved by signing up to be a Giving Day Ambassador! As an ambassador, you help tell the Missouri State story. You highlight the people, programs and experiences that matter most to you and invite your family and friends to support Mo State! You can post updates on social media sharing the stories of Missouri State! Send emails to your friends! An easy way to show your support for Missouri State!

2. Peer Leader Applications Open – First-Year Programs is starting their Peer Leader recruitment for fall 2026. Applications with two reference forms are due Wed. March 11. Serving as a peer leader is a wonderful opportunity for students to gain leadership skills while supporting our first-year students in GEP 101. Please help us spread the word and encourage students to reach out to Tracey Glaessgen at TraceyGlaessgen@MissouriState.edu directly with any questions.

3. Black History Month Events – There are several events planned in honor of Black History Month in the next few weeks. This month-long celebration provides the opportunity for the campus community and city of Springfield to attend social events and engage in networking and relationship-building environment. The events listed are planned by students and open to all students!
The Jet Show, A Night of Fashion, History and Soul – March 7th – PSU Theatre – 6-8pm
4. OSE Open Forum for the position of Assistant Director of Programs – The Office of Student Engagement invites you to an open forum for the position of Assistant Director of Programs. We have invited one candidate to give a presentation on Reimaging Traditional Programming. This will be followed by a Q&A Session for you to learn more about the candidate and provide feedback through an evaluation process.

5. Public Affairs Week– A series of events that focuses on this year’s public affairs theme, Resilient People, Resilient Future. All events are free and open to students, campus and the public. Coordinated through the Office of Public Affairs Support.

6. African-American Heritage Trail – Kentwood Hall Trail Marker Ceremony – Join organizers of the Springfield-Greene County African-American Heritage Trail at the marker ceremony for the Kentwood Hall trail marker on Thursday, February 26th, 4-5pm. The marker is the 11th marker on the Springfield-Greene County African-American Heritage Trail. The history of Kentwood Hall, formerly the Kentwood Arms Hotel, reflects both its significance in Springfield, Missouri, and its complex journey through racial integration, changing ownership and evolving uses. The ceremony will start in the Crystal Room with a brief program and then attendees will walk to the marker site in the front of Kentwood Hall along St. Louis Street. Learn more here.
7. Job and Internship Career Fair hosted by the Career Center – Missouri State University students and alumni are invited to join us at the annual Job and Internship Career Fair on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. From 10 a.m.-2 p.m., come by the Plaster Student Union 3rd Floor to connect with employers and learn about opportunities for full-time careers, part-time work or internship positions. Students can also stop by the Bookstore to get their free updated professional headshot. The event is free to Missouri State students and alumni – of any major or year! View the flyer here.
8. Grad Fair Spring 2026 hosted by the Missouri State Bookstore – Share with the students you work with that the Grad Fair is March 4-March 5th, 9am-5pm at the Bookstore. Download the flyer here.
