The Indian Students Association (ISA) was founded in 2002 with the purpose of promoting knowledge about the diverse Indian culture, to strengthen fraternal bonds among fellow Indian students, as well as other students at the university, to carry out social, charitable, educational, and athletic activities and to help incoming and existing students adjust to college life. Previous events include cricket tournaments, Indian movie nights, potlucks, road trips and representing India in numerous events on campus.
ISA is hosting its sixth annual ‘Tarang’, which is the biggest Indian event in Springfield, Missouri to be held on April 18th 2015. The focus of this event is to raise awareness about Indian culture, traditions and practices in the form of food and entertainment.
