A social and philanthropic fraternity on campus that has been on Missouri State’s campus for 18 years. Our members have access to a global network of alumni, as well as to leadership opportunities on campus and beyond. Part of Theta Chi’s educational mission is to prepare its members for the demands of life after graduation; we help by providing a variety of leadership and education events throughout the year. While on campus, Theta Chi has performed stellar in not only Homecoming week(winning the last 5 years in a row), Greek week and even community service throughout Springfield.Theta Chi helps you gain the skills you need to be a more effective communicator, manager, and leader. In Theta Chi, we have people that are in leadership roles across campus including our Student Body President Brandon McCoy and multiple SOAR leaders. It is our goal to make an impact in the community as well as our campus. The highest award that a Theta Chi Chapter can earn is the Alter Award. Theta Chi – Iota Beta has been lucky enough to have won the Alter Award 11 times to this day making us the only chapter to have ever earned the Alter Award 11 times. The highest award that a chapter of the North-American Inter-fraternity Conference can win is the NIC Award of Distinction. Iota Beta has earned this award four times and is the only chapter to have done so. The award was earned in 2008, 2012, 2014 and again in 2016. Theta Chi – Iota Beta prides ourselves on academics, community involvement and extending the helping hand. Along with that, Theta Chi has exceeded in obtaining a top spot in GPA the last few years as well as our new members.
