The Missouri State University Pre-Medical Society is a student organization dedicated to assisting undergraduates in their medical school endeavors. Our main goal is to guide students interested in the field of medicine by offering information on topics such as: Course recommendations, Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) preparation, Missouri State University’s Pre-Medical Committee, medical schools (Doctor of Osteopathic and Doctor of Medicine), and medical school preparation. The society provides multiple opportunities to interact with physicians, current medical school students, and other Missouri State Pre-Medical students. Our members are a highly diverse group of students helping each other attain a singular goal: acceptance to medical school. We hold informational meetings each month, this includes guest speakers with credentials ranging from physicians to current medical school students to volunteer and physician-shadowing coordinators to general healthcare providers, as well as deans of various medical colleges. We also provide our members with the possibility to increase their acceptance into medical school by offering various volunteer experiences and active participation within the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children (FIMRC).
