Souvenirs
Each time you go somewhere, it is always nice to bring back a little something local to remember your trip. What types of souvenirs are available in Vietnam?
1. Conical Hats
2. Silk
3. Hand Embroidery
4. Sand Pictures
5. Guoc Moc (traditional wooden clogs)
6. Bamboo Flutes

With lots to choose from, it’s something we should keep in mind when we pack. I think there may be a conical hat in my future, especially since it is so sunny. 🙂
Gifts to Bring
Being guests and showing how grateful we are to our hosts/new friends, we should bring a few gifts with us. Maybe some local items from Missouri or MSU.
Online, I was informed that if the gift is wrapped, it should be in very colorful paper. Useful, practical items that can be used in daily life are recommended. Never gift a handkerchief because it is a symbol of a “sad farewell.” If we are invited to a home, we should bring a gift for the hostess and maybe for any children and elderly that are with the hostess.

Thanks Crystal! That’s something I want to talk with you and Brenna about 🙂 I didn’t know about the colorful paper though, that’s helpful
