Today, we spend a day in Mui Ne. First, we went to the Fairy Spring/River. With a name like Fairy Spring, I was imaging a giant, deep blue hole of water. Instead, it was a long river of brown water from the large amounts of sand in that area. On the river tour, we walked up this LARGE red sand pile. I was out of breath by the time I reached the top, but it was fun having my feet in the sand and enjoying the lovely view. Sliding my feet down the hill was easier. Later, we went to the white and red sand dunes. They were AMAZING! Walking through them, you would have thought you were in a desert somewhere. Not something I imagined I would find in Vietnam. The dunes were large rolling hills of sand. It was raining when we got to the white ones, so we rode through them in a Jeep. Then, we went to the red ones where we were able to stand and watch the sunset. It was beautiful. Afterwards, a few of us, including myself, slid down the hills on sleds. A dollar and a half well spent. Overall, I thought it was definitely a unique experience.
