Today we went to an international engineering firm on the north side of the city. It was interesting to see other parts of the city, especially all the temples that lie on the north side. At the Royal Haskoning, we met with an engineer who talked us over some of his projects and received a tour. The firm was very modern and high tech, and many of the workers hailed from other counties such as England and the Netherlands.
Following the tour, we ate lunch at popular restaurant where many different cooks prepare food. You have the chance to walk around and pick what you want, and they will bring it to your table. I got the pork and egg rolls: both were fantastic. I then went back to the hotel and took an incredible nap.
Post nap, some of the guys and I went back to Phan’s to get fitted for our suits. I think mine is going to look really good, so I’m very excited to see the finished product. On the walk back, I had a kabob from a street vendor, and it may have been my favorite meal of the trip so far. Tonight we are trying a few new bars and I look forward to the new opportunities. I may have to wear the same thing as last night, so you gotta take the good with the bad. I am also very eager to see more of the countryside tomorrow as we head to the jungles to see the Cu Chi tunnels.
Only two days left!
