The first place we went today was Ulwatat temple. It’s a temple on a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean. While the temple is cool, the view is what you come for. We walked around and watch wave after wave of clear blue water crash against the cliffs below. Plus, there are a lot of monkeys scurrying around the temple that are pretty entertaining.
After that, we went to Pedang-Pedang Beach which is a beach featured in the movie, “Eat, Pray, Love.” It was an amazing beach and it would have been nice to be able to take a dip in the water, but noone wanted to get wet right before lunch.
For Lunch, we went to GWK cultural park which is a park that has been created to host a variety of the islands’ crafts and shows. We had another decent Balinese buffet. We didn’t stick around long though because everyone was excited to get to go hang out on the beach.
So we headed off to a different beach to actually get to spend some time playing in the water and soaking up the sun. The sand was awesome and the water felt great, but fitting the waves was a bit rough. The waves were extremely strong, and required a lot of effort to not get swept off your feet. It was still a lot of fun!
After that, we down a little further to a restaurant on the beach to have Seafood and watch the sunset. It’s crazy how quickly our time in Bali is flying by.
