We had to leave Vietnam early today after an amazing whirlwind week. I was sad to leave but excited for the next leg of our adventure! Onward to Singapore!
We landed in Singapore and immediately you could tell what a difference an established infrastructure can make on a city. Singapore was clean and easily navigable. After catching the subway straight to our hotel we freshened up and headed out on our own for food and exploration. We ended at Maxwell Road Hawker Centre near the hotel. The hawker centres are a foodie’s paradise. There was all different types of food from Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, and Hainanese (famous in Singapore). Of course, when in Singapore, we decided to try the famous Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken and Rice stall and we weren’t disappointed!!
After an amazing lunch we headed back to the hotel to get ready to go to the Marina Bay Sands for a night cap and some swanky fun. We rode the elevator to the 57th floor and had expensive drinks in our finest travel dress before we headed back to the hotel in search of great local food. We were luck to have Marie with us to help pick out the dishes and I can easily say this was the best meal on the trip so far!!
