Selma, Nicole, and I walked the beach this morning. It was a beach that was right across from our hotel. The sand was very fine and it was streaked with black sand making it gray. The water was also very clear and cool. Selma taught us how to jump over waves. We did it a total of seven times.
Our tour guide took us to see rice terraces in the morning. The water irrigation system in that area is unique to Bali and has not been able to be replicated anywhere else in the world. We had lunch at a great location facing Mt. Agung. It felt wonderful eating and just enjoying the view.
For dinner we had great seafood by the beach as the sun was setting. We also got to actually see a performance and the stage was right in front of us so we could see the detail on the costumes as well as the intense way that the dancer used to convey meaning through her eyes.
