Lingkor is our tour guides for our journey in Bhutan. We are visiting Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha, stopping to see many famous places on our excursions. Several hotel stays and all transportation is provided, including most meals. Just looking at the pictures in the itinerary, you can tell how rich in culture these ancient cities are. Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city, is home to a little over 100,000 people. I have read because of the small size of the country, Bhutan wants to limit the number of tourists that enter. The daily fee for being in Bhutan comes from this, and also allows people living in the city to experience less tourist burnout. Therefore, on other blogs, writers say the people of Bhutan are friendly to tourists. Tiger’s Nest will be a breathtaking (literally – after the hike!) experience, and I can’t wait to complete the journey!
