- Today was one of the best so far in Vietnam! I woke up early and ate breakfast. The meal consisted of French pastries such as, croissants and muffins. After breakfast, I went to my room to prepare for the planned excursion of the day which would take us on a boat to massive cave inside one of the “water mountains”. We arrived by boat and began the climb into the cavern. During this time our guide, Mr Bean gave us a brief history of Halong Bay and how it recently became one of the seven natural wonders of the world! The cavern was huge with the square meters being around ten thousand. The ceiling was very interesting as it seemed to be made out of sand. We spent about an hour trekking through the caves and ended with an amazing view overlooking the Bay below. We traveled back to the main boat and checked out of our rooms. We then had a very good lunch and returned back Halong City. We waited an hour before boarding the bus which we would take us back to Hanoi. Along the way we stopped at the pearl museum. After we returned back to Hanoi, I relaxed and prepared for tomorrow.
