Today started by going to breakfast at the hotel and then loading onto a bus which took us to the airport. We got on a Vietnam Airlines flight, coshared by Bangkok Airways, to take us to Bangkok. The flight was very pleasant. Once in Bangkok, we met up with Jeff, a former US Diplomat. He showed us around the city for the next several hours. We hit Terminal 21 and the MBK Center, both of which feature specialized shopping. Terminal 21 splits their many levels of the mall into an “around the world” theme, like Paris and Tokyo. We were not able to catch much of the levels the shops bargain on, due to them being closed. We did eat very cheap – about $3 USD for a good sized meal. After, we came back to Jeff’s apartment in the city in order to refresh in order to go to the airport for our 5AM flight from Bangkok to Bhutan. Adventures await!
