We rested for a while and around 1:30am called two taxis to transport us to the airport. The ride was rather crazy as the driver didn’t seem to have a good sense of speed and we were flying down the highway way over the speed limit. After a harrowing drive we checked in and waited for our flight! The flight was strange as it made a stop in Bagdogra, India and got some new passengers before landing in Paro, Bhutan! The weather was noticeably cooler and the scenery was breathtaking. We soon met our driver (Mani) and guide (Kharma). After a two hour bus ride we arrived in Thimphu and ate lunch at a local restaurant. I ate a meat-lovers pizza, which tasted quite good. After lunch we rested and then visited the post office and saw the history and various collectible stamps. I ended the day on a high note by eating Indian food for dinner!
