The morning after arriving to Xiangkhouang, we set out to visit the Plain of Jars. Similar to the Easter Island Heads, nobody is quite sure how how the jars were built, and how the rock used to build them were transported to Laos. We went to site 2 and 3. The visit was well worth getting our shoes caked in mud. The jars were bigger than I had expected. The walk to site 3 was amazing. We walked through some farmland in a local village, and I got that amazing feeling that I was on the other side of the world. After we were done, I got a short nap before dinner. After dinner we went out to a bar, but I just sat there and drank some beer while alot of the group went up to dance. It wasnt really my scene. A very interesting day overall.
