Today we visited the first university in Vietnam called Temple of Literature, this university was really pretty. We also visited the presidential palace of Ho Chi Minh, which was a huge yellow house. The most interesting site we visited (to me) was the Hanoi Hilton, there was a lot history behind this building that I learned about when visiting. The Hanoi Hilton was a prison used by the French for political prisoners, and later by North Vietnam for U.S. prisoners of war during the Vietnam War. The prison had a lot of graphic pictures of how the prisoners where kept. It was really sad to see how they were kept because it was so cruel. Prisoners were locked up and chained up like animals. Towards the end of the tour it was really cool to see how America and Vietnam has evolved into a friendly relationship, and there is no more issues between the two countries.
