I felt like this chapter talked a lot about international tourism, which is an interesting discussion given the state of our world at the moment. For example, the text states that following the 2009 economic crisis, the government helped promote American exports by changing visa rules to spur tourism. Many countries encourage firms to seek business ventures worldwide, including the encouragement in the tourism industry. Following this worldwide pandemic, I imagine that the international tourism business sector will look very different. I assume that many individuals will be afraid to travel overseas at first, if they even travel at all. This makes me wonder what governments will begin to do in order to encourage their citizens to travel abroad. For me, I hope this means cheaper flights! 😉
