Marketing Research

May 18, 2020 by Rachel Nehring

We have had many classes throughout school talking about marketing research and how important it really is if you want to have a successful business. Never liked researching and learning how to do well in marketing research until I started my job with Milwaukee Tool. This really taught me how important this process is to a business and how beneficial it is. One thing that shocked me while reading the book was, the United States has the highest quality of secondary data available. When I stop to think about how our culture always has their phone in their hands its crazy to think how much we really get on camera. I think in the future this is something that can really be beneficial in writing history. Especially with COVID-19 going on right now, I feel like there could be a lot of information gathered on how it has affected millions.

    Rachel,
I agree marketing research is important! My new job is going to involve lots of marketing research. Very excited to get started. I too think the data within covid that is collected will be very interesting. Marketing research can come to even how people are spending more time online since the stores are shut down.

    Rachel and Chase,

I totally agree with what you have both said. With home much time we spend on our mobile phones each day, the amount of data collected must be insane. I really think that one of the affects of COVID-19 will be a large change in home consumers shop, changing how companies market their product. For example, I think more people will begin to shop online, causing a decrease in businesses with a physical store.
