Today has been my absolute favorite day of the trip. We woke up early to drive 4 hours to Ha Long Bay which took up the majority of the day. Today we had to leave the beautiful town of Luang Prabang but before leaving we went on a few tours. My favorite tour of the day was visiting the last Kings home that he lived in with his wife and kids. The kings palace was a lot more basic than I would have expected for a king. Today we hiked to see two sites of the Plain of Jars. The Plain of Jars are large stone jars that are believed to be 2000-3000 years old and once used as tombs. Today is our last day in Laos and I am so sad to leave! We spent our last day visiting the Buddha Park, Temple of the Head, Emerald Temple, and the Arc de Triomphe. The Buddha Park was full of various Buddha status all in different positions resembling signs such as rain, stop, water, and many more. Today we visited the first university in Vietnam called Temple of Literature, this university was really pretty. We also visited the presidential palace of Ho Chi Minh, which was a huge yellow house.
