Day 7!

June 3, 2014 by Brenna Sherrow

We visited two tombs today. Tu Doc and Khai Dinh. The tombs were very different. Khai Dinh's tomb covered a small area and was very gray. His tomb was very French inspired. Tu Doc's tomb was not just a tomb because he was alive when it was finished. There were areas on the property for Tu Doc to go and relax. The tomb was more of a traditional Vietnamese tomb. Day 13: Leaving

June 2, 2014 by Crystal Blagg

This morning, I awoke early to hug Kristina bye and wish her luck on her other adventures in Asia.  I'm glad she is continuing her travels.  Asia has a lot unique cultures and plenty to see and do.  Ms. Pham, Chance, Brenna, Tom, Mai, and myself left for the airport around 2:30 pm.  I thought it was so sweet and touching that a Troy student drove his scooter to the airport … [Read more...] about Day 13: Leaving

Day 11: Back to Saigon

June 2, 2014 by Crystal Blagg

This morning, we packed our luggage and took the mini bus back to Saigon.  After checking into the hotel and relaxing a little bit, we ate at Pho 2000 with the Troy students from STU.  It was definitely tasty.  I was surprised to see a picture of Bill Clinton with the Pho 2000 staff on the wall of the restaurant.  I thought that was really neat that he ate at that restaurant. … [Read more...] about Day 11: Back to Saigon

Twelfth day: Last day in Saigon

June 1, 2014 by Kristina Lor

Today was our last full day in Saigon, and it was my birthday! It was a great day.  We had the morning free so I met up with a fellow Springfield friend who was in Saigon to visit his family.  We went with his aunt to have breakfast and coffee.  She treated us to the meal because she owns the restaurant we were at.  Our next stop was for me to finish souvenir shopping so we … [Read more...] about Twelfth day: Last day in Saigon
