Day 12: The last day at Inle Lake and the last day with the whole group was here. We all climbed onto the Jettis and took off onto the lake. Today our Study Away Program is officially over. We left Myanmar this morning and landed in Taiwan for a few days before heading back to the states. The extreme difference between Myanmar and Taiwan is overwhelming. Today we traveled to the Jumping Cat Monastery. There were no jumping cats just one really lethargic cat. Monastery was built by a chief with the aid of local families. There were huge Teak beams with the names of the families who donated them. Religion is so important here. It is ingrained in every aspect of their lives.
