Today we drive to Punakha, we stop at Dochula Pass. The Dochula Pass is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas. It is a concentration of 108 chortens (stupas) built in memory of Bhutanese soldiers killed in the 2003 war against insurgents from India. Today I woke up early and went to breakfast! The food was quite good and I first had buttered toast with chicken marsala omelettes and toast with some sort of berry flavored jelly. Today we had to wake up very early as we needed to be on the bus by 6 am. We weren't able to have a sit down breakfast, but the hotel restaurant had prepared a bag for each of us. The bag had two bananas, a mango juice box, a "butter" sandwich, and two hard-boiled eggs. I woke up earlier than usual and didn't catch too much sleep. I had a small breakfast and packed my bags as we were heading back to Paro!
