MSU will be participating in this year’s Climate Change Theatre Action worldwide performance series. For this performance a series of short climate change plays will be presented to coincide with the United Nations COP 23 meetings.
Students from MSU’s Theatre and Dance Department will be featured in these works in both performance and artistic roles. The performance date for these short works is Friday, October 27th at 11:59 PM in the Balcony Theatre in Craig Hall. Admission to this event is free.
Fifty playwrights from around the world were commissioned to write one-to-five minute plays about an aspect of climate change. CCTA 2017 is a collaboration between the Center for Sustainable Practice in the Arts, NoPassport Theatre Alliance, The Arctic Cycle, Theatre Without Borders, and York University. This endeavor is supported by the Compton Foundation, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and a York University Canada 150 Grant.
