“Your education is a dress rehearsal for a life that is yours to lead,”

From the bottom of our hearts, we are proud to announce and congratulate the Spring 2020 graduates from our dance department! These seven seniors have been hard at work for years earning the education and experiences that are sure to shape their futures. From concerts, to conferences, to projects, and more, each student has made an impact with everything they’ve done and everyone they’ve met. They are unlike any previous class, and no future class will be exactly like them. They are unique unto their own.

Some of their favorite memories including making friends they know they’ll have for life, helping underclassmen navigate the college experience, learning from the amazing faculty, and, of course, their time spent dancing. One senior even said their favorite memory was their move-in weekend three years ago. “It was so exciting starting a new chapter of life in a new place. After our department meeting, I knew I was home,” Aaron Williams.
These seniors have a special message for the faculty members who have helped guide them, and it is “thank you.” “Thank you for the encouragement.” “Thank you for the patience and support.” “Thank you for believing in me and not giving up on me.”
Together, Traidell, Morgan, Olivia, Claire, Danielle, Hayley, and Aaron are the next generation of dancers leaving Missouri State University for a bright future full of endless possibilities. Good luck out there. Wherever life takes you, know that you have a forever-home in the hearts of those you’ve touched and the university you helped create magic.
The Theatre and Dance Department will not be the same without you.
