T&D Bears, did you know you have athletic trainer services available to you?
Well, you do!
Featured here is the Theatre and Dance Department’s graduate athletic trainer Ariana N. Hetland-Purna. In her words, an athletic trainer is a “healthcare provider who specializes in evaluation, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of nervous, skeletal, or muscular injuries. We also advocate for our patients’ health through educating, wellness promotion, and prevention strategies.” Her services are available to all students currently within the T&D department and come at no cost to them.
Ariana’s fall schedule includes availability weekday mornings at Mercy HealthTracks (4331 S Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO 65804) and weekday afternoons by appointment in Art Annex 009. You can email her to set up an appointment time or for a consultation at td.athletictrainer@gmail.com
This is an amazing service for students to utilize, and Ariana is truly spectacular at what she does. She will be speaking Wednesday, October 14th at 6:00pm on the department’s Instagram page, @msutheatredance, as part of Wellness Week. Tune in and hear straight from her how she can help you stay or become your best physical self.
